" and countless others why they make that choice. Just observing!"It's self perpetuating based on many old guard companies still claiming that linear power supplies are best and audiophile consumers parroting these old myths.
The fact is, linear power supplies are one of the simplest things to make so even manufacturers with limited (or old school) technical capabilities can easily design good linear power supplies. A good switch mode power supply takes a bit more talent to get it right.
