I'll give that a whirl. Mostly they are on speaker wires due to having had a strong ham transmitter down the street years ago, since then he's gotten rid of his beam and just has a couple of verticals so I may not need them anymore. I do however still have an AM station a mile to the West. They shouldn't make any difference to the audio since they are common mode on a balanced circuit and I didn't hear one when I put them on, but I'll try to do a careful comparison removing them.
I am still curious how you were applying the ferrites that were causing problems.
