Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: A QB-9 Question

USB input only. There is a photo of the rear panel of the prototype at the SoundStage website. It's from their CES show report and I believe it was under the heading of "Standout Rooms". You can look there or you can search the archives here for posts under my name with the words "USB" and "SoundStage".

What this means is that you have to use your computer with music playing program like Foobar, J.River, iTunes, Windows Media Player, or whatever it is that you like to use. Then configure the computer to send the signal to the USB port instead of the soundcard.

A lot of people buy an Elo touchscreen monitor to get a nice, friendly user interface. That's good for a dedicated music server. If you are at your desktop and want music while you are playing, just connect a headphone amp or a small integrated with some desktop speakers.
