NO

I'm "Jon," and it's "John" who owns Black Sand Cable. I didn't know John from Kevin before a few weeks ago when I found out about Black Sand Cables.

I'm glad you like VH recipes b/c so do I. If you read my review of Violet at the link, you would know I like my Belden 83802 DIY cords very well. I also very much like VH 1,2,3,4, and AirSine and can recommend them highly in their respective price points.

I have not taken apart the Violet to see what exactly is inside, but from their description, they are 12 AWG stranded copper "wrapped" in teflon (tape?), all cryo'd.

I'm curious why you think Black Sand cables are basically "DIY" cables. Have you taken one apart or listened to one? If you know of a DIY wire that Black Sand uses, I would love to know what it is, so I can make some myself. Let me know.
