There are more than a few that would vehemently disagree with your conclusions about aftermarket PC's. I tend to agree with you however. Now, if one could try a vast array of aftermarket PC's one might be able to find a cord that does all good things and does no harm to the component designers original sonic concept. But who has the kind of money it takes to try so many expensive cords? I've already spent too much on the components themselves! I'm still using the stock cord on my Plinius 9200 and it's the only one in my group of cables that presented a natural and relaxed sound. The Flavor 4 I tried and was very optimistic about going in, did not produce the desired result so it went back on my cdp where it started. The cords I own are 3 Shunyata Diamondbacks, 2 Volex, JPS AC+, Flavor 4, and a 20 amp Shunyata Copperhead attached to my Hydra 4. I have auditioned an Audience Digital AC and it was too rolled off in the highs on my cdp.
PC trials are confusing but an interesting merry-go round.
