Sadly I sold my 20's earlier this year. Reason being I was spending way more time on social media, youtube and Netflix so my music system just sat there. Also I'm starting an Airbnb so I wouldn't be able to play music they way I like in my house and the funds came in handy.
Never had the cloth off of them when I had them.
I kept the Apogee Duettas and Emotiva mono blocks in case I get audio withdrawals.
Follow Ups:
I heard GL's 20s and thought they were wonderful. Even if they were the early version they were special. The Basie band was an absolute treat.
Other considerations aside, the Duettas must be really good if they were the keepers.

The Duettas REALLY sound good but they're also up for sale on USaudio. When I acquired them a few years ago they played everyday up until the last year or so when I rotated the 20's back in. They both have their merits.

Someone wrote about sending just the bass/mid panel to Magnepan, just the driver not the whole speaker. Who was it?
That could have been me. I sent the bass-mid panels back in both speakers removing them from the speaker frames. I made wood enclosures for shipping it kept the cost to ship under $100 at the time. Pretty sure I took some pics but dammed if I could find them.
Sounds like something I may have wrote back around 2012 when i acquired them. I would hear a faint rattle on the right speaker when played loudly and it freaked me out. But if I played them below a certain level (I wanna say around 65db) it was a non-issue so I abandoned the ideal of repair.
*** Update- I looked in my digital organizer where I keep addreses and phone numbers and came across this under Magnepan:

Doesn't list if they would take a separate panel although they 'may have' back then, but again at normal to above normal the rattle hardly presented itself - even up to this day I can't recall the last time I heard any buzz or rattle especially since I augmented the lower frequency with a REL Strata sub.On my note I wrote $1400 for the panel so it very well could've been just the inner panel.
Interesting to see my note of first hearing the buzz and not until a year later it presented itself again. Maybe it was my amp(s) I doubt it.
I always thought the reason I got them so cheap ($2700) the previous owner freaked out and didn't want to get stuck with them (he claimed he was going through a divorce).
Oh well, they never gave me any heartache whatsoever, only sweet music. :)

Wow! What a deal. I think I spent more than that sending my 3.6s back to Magnepan to fix their rattle (cost of shipping them back + ~$2k for them to repair and ship it back).
Oh no I couldn't even imagine. I know how much you loved them. Let us know when start to get the music itch again.
In the future, please keep us updated on your system changes. :)
Enjoy the Apogee's!
Will do, I'm never leaving this forum!
I still have a pair of Triangle Comete's and a old pair of Infinty ref 3's in my garage system, also a pair of Spica TC-60's I picked up a year ago for a 3rd system I never started lol...
If I were to come across another pair of MG1.6's locally I'm pretty sure I'd grab them, as much as I loved the 20, the 1.6's seemed to have a spirit of their own.
