I got my Denon DL-301/II and AU-300CL SUT from them.

When you had the JVC/SME table recently, did you listen to it?I have the same JLC, with a Luxman TA1A arm. I like it very much, but have been bitten by the upgrade bug and am wondering how much of an upgrade the Technics 1200MK5 might be, which I believe you also owned?
Any opinion?
I'm also toying with the idea of doing a Thorens 160 with a SMEIII or a Rega RB300 or ?????
I'm going to keep the JVC for now and put the new AT on it ...which may cure my itch to upgrade. But I'm always looking for what comes next.
taking the old Pickering cart out. Then decided to sell the table/arm. That said, I don't know how much, if any, a SL-12XX would be over your JVC with Luxman arm. You might keep an eye out for a good used SME 3009/II or III arm to put on your JVC.

...but I pulled a SMEIII off of the JVC and put on the Luxman arm.I did it on a lark. I had a trashed Luxman PD-272 with a perfectly good arm on it and I was in need of cash to help support another hobby of mine (wristwatches), so I sold the SME and replaced it with the Luxman.
Maybe the Luxman was just a better match with the OC9 I was using at the time, but it was an improvment as far as I was concerned. I'm not saying its a better arm, it just worked out better with my table, my cartridge and my ears.
If you did not use the headshell weight with the OC9 in the SMEIII, the Luxman arm likely is a better match.

...so go figure.I never tried my DL301MK2 on the SME though. I didn't get it until after my cleaning lady broke the OC9 ...so it only lived on the Luxman arm.
