The lower Grados are never going to give you the experience of high fidelity like a Denon can do with a properly matched tonearm. I consider the 103 models to be midfi at best, my 103R is a very fine cartidge and I enjoy its attributes in my very detailed and revealing system. It gives out awesome detail without being etched or irritating.
