I hate cleaning LPs!
I hate cleaning the stylus!
I hate making adjustments to my turntable!
I hate surface noise!
I hate pops and ticks! The only reason I even mess with LPs is for their superior sound quality.
If I could get that realism on any other format and it had the music that I liked my LPs would be on eBay!
So I will let you know if that ever happens, I can guarantee it will not be a digital format as digital misses too much of the music.
I fail to see the logic of anyone messing with LPs if they didn't do it for the sound!
Sound and music that is what analog is all about.

This may sound cruel, and if so, I'm sorry, but you need to re-examine your life. It's never too late to change.
7 1/2 ips pre-recorded Reel to Reel comes very close in many ways, as far as deep bass and fullness of sound Reel to Reel is a little better. But LPs still win in transients and software availability. So I have the three main analog formats LP, cassette and RTR.
After over two decades I realize both low and high resolution Digital formats was a total waste of time and money.

It's supposed to be fun. I like screwing with my stereo, fudging my tt, trying different phonostages, arguing with J.D., trying to understand Mark Kelly's posts, wondering w.t.f. with tubes4,hoping FredJ returns, nodding agreeably to the posts from the inmates I agree with, and frowning at all those I don't. In other words, this web site has been a
huge and positive addition to my music-listening hobby. But in the end, that's what it is-a wonderful addition to my already-wonderful life.
I'm pretty sure that's all any of us can expect from AA.
