Fleetwood Mac, Rumors, The Chain & My Daddy (wow)
Bizet Schehdrin sp? Carmen Ballet (some on my domestic pressing, silent)
Lincoln Mayorga & Distinguished Colleagues, Vol III (amazing)
Follow Ups:
. . . is they come over, love the turntable, love spinning records, love how it sounds, and then go home to their CD players.I think they somehow appreciate me as a "keeper of the flame". Or maybe that's just a delusion of grandeur.

blesses lots of folks with their free service. He rebuilt the rig I use at home, but it froze. Fixed it as I am using it right now.Pretty nice.
He thought a bit, when the O Daddy with Chris McVie and the Buckingham percussion was playing, "the reason why cd's and digital don't work that well is their lack of full sampling, and you guys can tell with experience listening to live acoustic music." I know that digital is much better now, but he liked it a lot.

Same here.Turntable/records are seen as "too much trouble" and when they go home they laugh at you because they think "CD's sound WAY better".
Folks at work laugh right in my face. One gal saw a record I had on my desk that I had bought during lunch...she looked at it, picked it up, set it down and said "Ewwwwwweee, I TOUCHED it"!!!
Did she think it had kooties or something??
it was a freebie!God bless them...Showed him my vinyl "rig" and whole setup, framed albums on the walls, etc. and just said "cool". He can somewhat relate to the vinyl listening/collecting since his brother is a dj and still uses records. However, as I was briefly showing him the different carts/styli,' and tables I use and WHY, he got this look on his face that said,"Well, came to drop off the table, gotta go, enjoy!"---then he really said, "That's cool dude..well gotta go." When I showed him the Sony cd burner, however, oh man did his eyes light up(of course he said, "Hey ,man, I might need ya to burn some cd's for me...". Hopeless. I quickly shut up. Didn't want to bother him with my vinyl geek-dom.A week prior, he showed me his stereo system at his place and it was mostly comprised of 2 massive no-name brand DJ tower speakers and a cd player,receiver...
Oh well, the life of a vinylist!
Regards,
I don't get the negative responses you mentioned. The people I know seem to think it's kind of cool, if obsessive/compulsive, but they can't be bothered in their own lives.
