Sorry to keep asking a similar question but I havent really got any good replys. I am buying my first tube integrated amp and I have narrowed it down to three choices. The Jolida 302b, Anthem int. 1, ASL MGsi 15. My speakers are Klipsch RF-3 and I listen mostly to rock music. Which amp would you reccomend?? Im kinda leaning towards the Jolida because it seems to be the most tweakable, and my second choice is the Anthem. Please help me out, I am sorry for asking the same question over and over please dont get mad.
thanks

I've yet to read anything but high praise for this kit amp. The price is right, and you can tailor the sound and output to your needs. If you build it yourself, you will have the ability to easily make changes to improve its performance. You don't have this easy flexibility with a factory-built amp. The general consensus is that building a kit amp is no harder than cooking a good dinner. The amp has only one input, but you could add more with a passive pre-amp or the ever-popular Foreplay.

Remember, it's all about the music.

Considering I didn't see your other questions, I promise not to get mad, OK? ;-)I use an Anthem Int-1 in my home office mated to a pair of Soliloquy 5.0s. Very nice given my preference for jazz, latin, and nuevo-flamenco. But as much as I love the Anthem, given your speakers and your preference for rock, I'd say go with the ASL MGsi 15.
Why? Because of the differing natures of the output tubes each of your choices use, namely the EL34 in the Jolida, the EL84 in the Anthem, and the KT-88 in the ASL. Of the three, I believe the KT-88s will give you the tightest bass going. And with 98dB efficient speakers, 15 watts/channel should be more than enough to "Rock the House".
There are others here who definitely can speak more authoritatively about each of those tubes and the amps using them, but I don't see where you could wrong with the ASL.
Hope this helps.
I currently own both a Jolida tube integrated and ASL mono-blocks. I find the build quality roughly the same and am completely satisfied with the sound of each (both kt-88/6550 based). The ASLs have a funky manual (though Joseph Lau is always helpful in emails) and the Jolida has a ridiculous bias test port location. Both irritating but livable. One thing to note is that Jolida imports into the US and ASL imports through Canada. This might be an issue for repair work although I have not had the need for either unit.

Jolida headquarters are just outside Annapolis, MD, and they do some QC work and repairs there. Although their units appear to be built in China, much of the design work goes on here.Jolida is a US company; strictly speaking the finished units are imported from China but in my view it's a little different than if something completely originates overseas.

Thanks, I was leaning more towards the Jolida or ASL, but I have heard the ASL lacks bass which could be a problem with rock music. Another option I have just considered was a Kit. I saw the Consonance Ella kit on DIYcable.com, It looks like a good amp for the money. Are there any other similar kits to consider?
thanks

I think you had read last post about MG-SI15 ? It is difficult to compare a SET with Push/Pull type amplifiers. Push/Pull amps sure much easy to get better base due to it Don't have a air gap. (Air gap can reduce Primary inductance).
