I am using penta solid plate kt-88's tungsol reissue 12ax7 and the stock 12au7's what are you using for speakers and cables with this amp???

Speakers are Joseph Audio RM22si, cables are Nordost Flatline bi-wire, and Nordost Solar Wind interconnects to the cd player (Arcam 73T). For vinyl I've got a NAD 533 with a Bottlead Seduction phono-pre and cheapie Audio Research interconnects...-mb
I have meadowlark osprey's dh labs cablng and a rega apollo cd how are the eh 12au7's different from the stock one's?
In the PL2 that I've got, the stock 12AU7s sounded kind of dull/flat. To my ears, the sound became slightly cleaner/clearer when I put the EH 12AU7s in... Of course how tubes sound is subjective and YMMV. I have also used the Ei 12AU7s and Mullard CV4003 with nice results. As far as the pre-amp tubes go, however, I feel the biggest difference was noticed when I dropped those Sovtek LPS 12AX7's in... really brought the vocals up out of the mix nicely.
