I know tubeworld has them, and a few others, but DAMN they get big $. I'd like to pay $65 or so for a LOW hours phono 6922--White Letter USA Amperex or early CV Mullards" or NO MORE than $125 for NOS. I have plenty of 12AX7s, but can't find good 6922s. Any help appreciated.

Follow Ups:
Try to find those NOS RCA 6922 gold pin with 'Made in Germany' stamped in black ink on the box & printed on the tube. Every one I bought were not microphonic & were made by Siemens. They have a metal tag inside stamped A0.These used to sell for $80 a pair & usually sell now for $40 a pair on eBay. Tube prices are lower in the summer than winter on eBay for most tubes. Hobby interest peaks in the winter thus prices increase as well.

Thanks all; I check completed items on ebay and couldn't believe how cheap 6922s have become. I could buy triple what I need, use the quietest in the phono others in the line and sell the rest to my buddy for cathode follower spots in his gear! I had NO IDEA they had gotten that cheap! Even the "super special" ones; there are a lot of 12AX7s that are going for WAY more! Never thought I'd see that!

Andy at Vintage Tube Services is the best. Period. You get what you pay for, and the tubes Andy sells are tested every way from Sunday...and he doesn't charge outrageous prices.FYI, I have a pair of National 6DJ8 that I purchased from Andy that I'd be willing to sell for $115/pair. Fully tested. Purchased NOS. Less than 20 hours on them.
FYI, I've ecently purchased a few pairs of 60s vintage Mullard E88CC and E82CC that are all super quiet and non microphonic. I didn't pay more than $100/pair.

Great-- who actually MADE the National 6DJ8s? Are they Matsushita Japan? I guess I better give ol' Andy a call!

I left out a very important fact about the inexpensive tubes (less than $100) I mentioned purchasing. They were from E-Bay, not Andy. Andy charges more, but there's zero risk purchasing from him, whereas purchasing from E-Bay sellers can be a bit of a gamble.
As you have found out top grade pre screened 6dj8 family tubes are outrageous in price. To add insult to injury they can turn micro phonic 6 months later. My advice, pair a pair of current production EH's and a pair of older say 60's vintage eastern block tubes. Both will be quiet. Now start watching ebay. Look for an auction for a bunch of old used untested ones that some old guy pulled out of a scope or something. Look for first time sellers....ones without pics and such. I scored 12 bulge boys for 17 bucks once and they all work in my phono stage. A little on the weak side but what the heck:) The eastern block tubes I got were labeled Brimar and came out of a scope someone gave me because they ruined the power transformer. The caps were hand dated so I knew the time period. Probably Yugo or Chezch tubes...not sure...but quiet and not too bad sounding.
A friend just scored on ebay a pair of real amperex 7308's for a buy it now price of 35 each so good buys are out there.
