Have a krell ksa 250 that is very nice. Older krell means still focused on powerful lows with out of this world imaging and detail. very close sounding as my Vtl 300 deluxes's

I tested the arrays power characteristics with the Adcom 5802 and various other high power SS pro amps. But I like tubes so I went with other amps to listen with them long term. While I like it loud, and they get plenty loud, sometimes I like it really loud, others barely on. Adcom 5802 was used long term for previous two channel setup before I built the arrays and the Marantz before that, now the Marantz runs the HT fronts with what's left of that older two-channel speakers, tweaked a bit; the Adcom runs two Adire Audio 18" Maelstrom subs in the current two channel, check the gallery for a pic of current setup, pretty much, and the bigger tube amps I'm having worked on to annoy the neighbours a little more with...gotta buy some land, not tubes,... gotta buy some land, not tubes... gotta buy some land, not tubes...

I have twin Velodyne FSR18BVs. That's 1250w propelling each 18" subwoofer with 3" throw.t'he-hee
In reality the twins were to actively arrest room boom & wanted servos to allow low-volume operation from a seismic deep bass driver.
When you buy real drivers for your array, have you considered B&G Neo8 tweeters?

Yes, I'm gonna change the subs a bit someday too, but they work good enough already. You've got the bass handled nicely, lol! I already bought 4 NewForm Research R-30's to go with some Definitive Technologies 5.25" buyouts from PE. I just have to get some time and gumption to build them, as I plan to do a much better job than the $400 3 day prototypes! if only they didn't sound so good already...

… of bad recordings or some less than ideal head units, but then you'll be amazed at the linear-arrayed NFR-30 imaging when its all just adequate. Plus, acoustic string instruments sound almost tactile.
