If 6CG7 /6FQ7 = 6922, and if a 6sn7 = 6CG7(but higher rated)- then....does it follow that I can use a 6sn7 as a sub for a 6922? Asuming that B+ are within striking distance?Thanks to each and all.

I will use them in place of 12AU7, change the heater, and see how...

6cg7=6fq7 and they are almost eqaul to 12bh7, 6sn7, 12au7, 6c5, 6j7,and tri-wired 6j7,
6CG7 also draws about double the heater current of 6922.Bigger problem: 6CG7 and 6922/6DJ8 are miniature 9-pin, 6SN7 are OCTAL base!

The 6CG7 might be the same basing as the 6DJ8, but it is not the same electrically. 6DJ8 has about 3x the gm, 1.5x the gain and 1/2 the plate dissipation rating of the 6CG7. Just to scratch the surface.
