  I've tried both of these tubes and I can only tell you that I prefer the 6H23EB in my preamp.

  If you're familiar with the Sovtek sound then you pretty much have the EH's. They seem to be a premium version of the Sovtek 6922... they look exactly like the Sovteks. The matched pair I have are very quiet.
