Hi,I would like to know the forums opinions on the issue of :-
Is it better to use a Double D getter GZ34 or a Single D getter GZ34
in amplifier purposes?
Follow Ups:
Nicolas,*I* think the double D getters sound better. Depends on how resolving the amp is. Hope this helps.
Also, affordable to me, too. Metal base, too expensive and rare.

P.S. The metal base is not rare, there are plenty about.

Look more at the tube in general. Any of the Mullard or Amprex 1950s or 1960s GZ34s are really good. Any good NOS GZ34 sould be able to meet its ratings for output. The Chinese GZ34 tubes are a shadow of the old tubes. The older Holland made tubes have buckets of gettering and are beautiful and beautiful sounding.
