VTI has some, as does tubeworld. They'll cost you though.
Cetrons are still being made, but the price is higher than it used to be-almost the same as NOS RCAs now.
enjoy,

How do they compare to the NOS RCA's?And how do the the United's compare to the above?
And.. Ed, we are looking forward to a FULL REPORT including an 845 rolling session when your new amps arrive.....
Yes, they are coming tomorrow I think! I got the tubes today from Josh. Hopefully the amps survived the trip ok too. Yes, will have full report sometime soon. I can report on 845s in my ASL 1006-845 amps if anyone is interested. For the Cetrons (Richardson is the source as mentioned below..www.rell.com), They are better than the chinese but not as nice as RCA, IMHO. I find the Cetrons smooth but with a touch too much energy up top for my taste. Not bright per se, but just a little tizzy on the highs. RCAs are very nice all around, the standard in some ways and a tube that does everything well. Uniteds - also very nice. Almost a toss up with the RCAs on which is better. Both are stunning. Amperex (brass base) - smoother than the others by a touch, and slightly less energy up top, more of a liquid warm sound, good for a system that is too bright. All these differences are small and only mostly noticed with back-to-back rolling. It would be interesting to roll some KR 845s to see how they stack up too. I have only one Taylor 845 and that is a nice one...still looking for a second. GE's - nice but not as nice as United and RCA IMHO. On par or slightly better than Cetron in my application. Interestingly, Amperex made a later style of tube, very similar to RCA design. This started somewhere around 1951 or so. Their earlier tubes were unique with brass base and "arms" construction. The later ones (similar to RCA design) are also unique to a degree, but similar to the 6-fingered RCA construction. Curiously, this tooling is what Cetron has/uses from my examples. I believe Cetron and/or Richardson bought out Amperex's transmitting tube business and some of the tooling. There's a history of Cetron somewhere I need to read up on. but based on the construction, the Cetron 845's are nearly identical in construction to the late amperex construction. The exception is the Cetrons add a second diagonal "Z" wire support across plate structure, and also a top mica above the 6-fingered support. Other than that construction is identical between the late Amperex and cetron. AFAIK, Cetron/Richardson doesnt' have or use any RCA or United tooling, at least based on the construction of the Cetron 845s I have. (from 1990 or so).
Richardson Electronics sells the Cetron 845 for about $414 each. Used to be $330 not too long ago.
They bought up alot of the RCA and United tube making equipment and still make some fine sounidng tubes.
