I'm a big VA fan. I have Mozarts and I'm in search of an amp. Mozarts owners, what SS amp gives you the sweetest, sibilance harshness-free vocals?
Follow Ups:
I have the Bach's paired with a musical fidelitry A3 integrated amp. This is an awesome pairing. If you can find a dealer in your area that sells Musical Fidelity, run don't walk and hear them for yourself.
HowdyFWIW:
I have to qualify the following by saying that my system is in a small office and hence I have idea if what I say is relevant to you'all. In the space alloted I only have room for the Haydn's.
I was looking for an amp which would sound better on women's voices and cymbals than my Denon PMA-2000R. I was also concerned about the sound quality at low levels since I didn't want to annoy my neighbors during the day. My local Hi-Fi store loaned me a Krell 300i; it missed the boat for everything I cared about, but it did sound good loud. Some kind souls here at the asylum suggested the SimAudio Moon I-5. I'm quite happy with my it driving my VA Haydn's. It sounds great at low levels and also when I crank it up in the middle of the night.
The I-5 is 70 WPC @ 8 ohms, I have no idea if it has enough oomph for the Mozarts.
