Board,That's what the music critic for "The New Yorker" dubbed it, not approvingly but disdainfully as I recall. The critic took pains to review a classic LP of theirs.

Yeah, exactly the same...except Elton John isn't a critic, and Jimi Hendrix isn't an album. The Radiohead records I've heard sounded as though they were influenced by Pink Floyd to me. I'm sure there's no comparison when it comes to sales, but I don't know anything about the specifics of the comparison.
One thing's for sure, I haven't gotten tired of the mantra-like babblings about how great Radiohead is...

but definitely more level-headed than your usual pop star. I recall him saying how *boring* it is to fly with fellow-musicians and how all they talk about is what guitar strings are best. (I guess that's about on par with what a planeful of A.A.-mates might talk about...!)Take care,
Guy.
Radiohead is a good band, but way WAY WAY WAAAYY OVERRATED!!! Comparing anything by Radiohead to the timeless, amazing masterpiece 'Dark Side Of The Moon' is absurd. You may as well then compare a YUGO to a PORSCHE.... SHEESH!!!

I VASTLY prefer Radiohead to anything Pink Floyd. So THERE!

but not even close to P.F. Come on man, Ive heard most all of both bands stuff.

I've never heard any PF that made me want to hear more PF. I can take 'em or leave 'em. My knowledge of PF is limited but so what? Do you consider it a personal affront that one person isn't a Floyd fan? Get over it!
Sounds about right........
