  havent heard about him in a while. he won a blues band contest for the KLON (klon.org) blues festival a few years ago. ive never seen any records/CDs by him but havent looked. i mostly look at jazz first, and then im fairly tired (there are LOTS of used jazz at record surplus in LA). ive taken to looking at the $1 records jazz first, then the categorized more expensive ones downstairs, and then selected rock/pop, and once in a while the CDs. now that i have a dvd player, i look in the used dvd pile and recently picked up fritz the cat for $10.
  btw, is that the correct spelling of popa chubby? ive popped a couple in my day but never thought of the spelling.
