NOPE. Not too bad. Have some patience. You'll hear it....I promise. Dig the rhythm section? The piano player will probably surprise you only because he is playing closer to his roots than his normal idiosynchratic style. Confused yet? This is the only record that the....better not. That you can look up.Barry

Follow Ups:
The giveaway, believe it or not, is that drummer...Nick Stabulas. Now there's ideosyncrasy. I only have one early Phil Woods album: Phil and Quill. Phil was and still is the man.

I never would've guessed the other guys in a million years. I've never heard this trumpet player before. I love this recording! I'm assuming PW wrote this (Sugan).

I never did tell you any more about this album. It is titled "Sugan" and is a Phil Woods tune. It's on the Status label recorded in 1964. Teddy Kotick is playing bass and Red Garland is the piano player. The trumpet cat is Ray Copeland who played through many different jazz eras. A real good player who is hardly ever mentioned. It is a real nice record. Glad you like that tune. The rest of the tunes are solid also.

You did your homework. Phil wrote it. It's the only thing he did on that label...I'm pretty sure. I'll give you the rundown in a bit. Now I'm in the middle of a few things.See that. After all your 'who's this' type of stuff you come up with Nick Stabulus and Phil. I'm taking your computer away for 10 days.
Pretty hip.
Now the others.....hmmm.
