Which one produce more accurate and the least distortion sound? Why Sony CDP 3100 more expensive than Denon DN 951FA and TASCAM DV RA 1000 ?

The spec. of TASCAM DV RA 1000 is very good compare with sony cdp d500.If I only use as a cd player, not use as a recorder. What is the performance of TASCAM DV RA 1000 ?
Is it means that if I playback CD only ,TASCAM DV RA 1000 is not better than Sony CDP 3100,Denon DN 951FA studio CD player in term of sound quality although TASCAM DV RA 1000 have DSD ?

The Tascam isn't an SACD, or for the matter DVD-A, player. It is a closed-format recorder, and should not be bought for its playback skills.
bring bac k dynamic range

I'm not sure the TASCAM can play SACD'S; I do know that the dsd discs it burns cannot be played on SACD players. I have used the TASCAM to record a project, and fortunately I also recorded on a Masterlink in hi rez PCM (using Apogee A/D/A converters.) I say fortunately because the TASCAM (at least in the experience of the studio I was using) often has trouble reading back it's own discs, and this happened to me. It is very suspectable to read errors that freeze the whole machine. The parts of the session I could hear sounded more full bodied and natural than the hi-rez PCM recording, but in the end it was of no use to me for my project. I'd be wary of the TASCAM, but it has potential
