How's the synergy between VH Audio's Airsine and Shunyata's Hydra?
Follow Ups:
I was using the Shunyata Taipan Alpha with my Hydra-8, but on a lark decided to pick up an Airsine. Smart move on my part. The Airsine is leagues better, allowing the music to flow, and letting details to be revealed, in the most effortless manner I've heard in a PC anywhere near its price range. Definitely a keeper.

The AirSine should not conflict with any other power cord since it is very transparent. It has no detectable sonic signature in terms of coloration, IMHO.

You know I believe AirSine to be one of the very best, if not the best, power cord available right now. But I myself do hear a bit of sonic signature from it, just like EVERY piece of cable, wire, connector I have ever heard. What is it? It's hard to quite spell it out, but for example, AirSine would probably not be my first choice to use on, say an EL34 tube amp that has a bit too much relaxed bloom already..

Hey Jon,
I guess what you're kind of saying is the AirSine has a faint trace of warmness to it? Would it be a better match for say, a Bryston/Krell amp instead of tubes?
Any good amp of any topology withing a broad range of "neutrality" will match great with AirSine, plenty of good EL34 amps included. It's just that some amps that overtly sound very warm, laid back, and obviously bloomy may 'need' a more incisive-sounding (colored) cord..

Hi Jon,That observation kinda supports my opine about the AirSine not having a detectable sonic signature in terms of coloration.
However, I find the AirSine's effect to be very precision. I could not ask for more sonic insight (from a purity standpoint) via a power cord.
I agree that some gear can benefit from a "colored" power cord, such as some components and/or systems that favor a "faster sounding" silver plated copper power cord, or on the flip-side, a PS Audio or similar "slower sounding" power cord, for example.
my 2 cents
