how long have they been used? silver and teflon can take a while to break in and show it's total potencial.

About 20 hours. It's the cotton over silvr version actually, so there shouldn't be any skin issues.

well, as duster has already stated, they'll need more time. in my experience, cotton dialectric tends to over damp the cable and take some life and breath from the sound. there are many different silvers out there and they all sound different to my ears. it's taken us a few years to find a silver that we're really happy with. also after much experimentation, i like only use eichmann silver bullets on silver cables.
The plugs, the solder joints, as well as the wire itself regardless of the insulation is in need of further burn-in time. However, your ear might be acclimated to copper wire, as pure silver wire presents a less visceral bass presentation (softer), in my experience.

What if your ear is acclimated to live music? IOW, which do you think is more accurate, the bass presentation of copper wire or that of silver wire?

I've found that copper wire tends to have a more articulate bottom end to my ear. If more articulate means more accurate, then this would be my opinion and personal taste, and just one man's opinion (I posted an "in my experience" disclaimer). I have posted clearly in the past that I respect silver IC user's preference for such :-)
