...in forums like this.
Some posters have given me advice, stating what guidelines they think should be followed (or not followed.) And I'm glad to read that advice, even though I really wasn't soliciting advice. Those posters have thought that I asked the question wondering about what I should do. And that's fine. Some of those are trying to be helpful, some are probably just pontificating.
But, actually, I was just asking out of curiosity. (Or nosiness.) I have just wondered what others do. And many posters responded exactly that way. They told me what they spent. And that's fine, too.
And it's been pretty interesting, as usual.

please explain why I was out of line to merely state that a poster failed to direct his/her response to the original question? It was just my observation. Nowhere did I criticize what was said, but merely suggested the response might be better as a separate thread. And, perhaps somebody can explain why DUSTER is able to condemn my post as being disrespectful while being oblivious to the fact that he might be acting more disrespectful by making such a judgment?
In re-reading the prior posts I believe I misinterpreted a few things, and I apologize. These past several posts do look to be rather moot to me now.

...that you have changed your mind. Sometimes we can read into something and get the wrong impression. I meant no disrespect to anyone, including you. Cheers

...if they post anything on a site like this in response to a fairly dopey question like the one I posed. Their opinions, their beliefs, some facts, some fairy tales - they're all good. Of course, it's nice when people do it in a respectful manner; as have Scruffy and Duster among many, many others.
