Home Vinyl Asylum

Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

Timinator my $629 Music Hall turntable playing the best LPs easily surpasses the sonics of both of my SACD players.

So for $1,500 you will likely fall so in love with the sound of vinyl you will find you are playing your SACD player less and less. And listening to LPs instead of making MP3's of them.

There are lots of good and bad sounding LPs, but the best sounding LPs should have noise levels nearly as low as SACDs and again the best LPs will have sonic details that easily surpass the best SACDs.

So Timinator you should be able to surpass the sonic qualities of your $1,000.00 SACD player. The two player I had were the Xindak SCD-2 SACD player which retails for $1,699.99, and the Sony DVPS-9000ES which retailed for $1,499.99 and my $629.00 Music Hall mmf-5 turntable easily beats both of them.

Welcome to the wonderful world of analog,
Teresa
