Hi there.You might try a good Ortofon cartrdge (Like a Super OM 20 or Super OM 30 if you need a MM cart.) Or a good Ortofon MC if that's what you like. The Duals are perfectly matched for the Ortofons. In fact, Dual's latter tables were made under Ortofon's corporate ownership of Dual. I think yours might be one of these. If you try out a new cartridge on the Dual and decide you want a better table, you can always upgrade & put the cartridge in the new table. Some of the Duals are pretty great.
