RE: of course someone tries to piss on CMPs parade...

First, these are not attacks but queries about issues on principles of audio reproduction.

This is true - but they are the plagiarised (thanks, Tony) meanderings of a troll, not interesting queries.

Second, the 32+ versions of cPlay do not give any better results on my systems using Foobar.

I don't doubt this is true but, for many users, all or at least many versions of cPlay (I make it 54 inc the first series) sound better than the myriad versions of Foobar on their systems. More important, these users report that the current versions sound better - what it sounded like back in May 2008 doesn't seem very important now.

Third, it seems to me that those who promote it get far too fanatical to be objective.

I know, I know. You should see some of the language they use in debate - it even makes Steve blush, that's how bad it is.

Note also their dreadful habit of making exactly the same point again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and . . .

And, finally, talking about fanatical, see how they'll even argue that different makes of 2.5" HDD sound different. I mean, how nutty can you get?
