Actually Sal, I talked to Paul J (the designer) about flatter bandwidth power and we together were talking about output iron. What happened was the desicion was made to try some uncharted territory incorporating two output transformers per amplifier. I modifyed My Paramours with the dual trannies and the results were noticable. It is now a mod that others have tried with excellent results. Their are under mods with resistors between the primarys that are being auditioned. As for driving the compression horns with Paramours, their is plenty of power. It would be a really sweet combo. The tannoy are about 97? Db?
The 2A3 Paramours are a hot seller and unless you want to spend a few thousand, they are a viable alternative and a fairly easy build.
...If you are interested, shoot me an email SAL, I am stepping to 300B power...maybe we can work out a situation to check out my pair.
