Ola Jose and Sean! Almost two decades ago I found the molded power cords that came with the Levinson gear sounded better than those that came with the Threshold gear so I bought up all the various molded aftermarket cords I could find and compared them with those Levinson cords..The Levinson cords won big time....I decided to get serious and put a "real" plug at the wall and the Levinson cords got better....I ordered some rewireable IEC connectors and the Levinson cord got better yet....The cord is still my reference after almost twenty years. Here is the parts list:

Wire Belden 19364 which is 14/3 SJT available from any Belden distributor in a 250' roll for not much more than you wanted to pay for one cord...
IEC Schurter 4300.0603 available from Allied Electronics
Wall plug Pass & Seymour 5266-X available from most electrical wholesalers

Follow the color code; brown is line, blue is neutral and green is ground....The drain wire I hooked to the ground at both ends, but would probably play with today....Take out the screws in the IEC and solder the wire directly to the connectors.....Just stuff the bare wires into the wall plug and tighten.....

The sound of this cord is just awesome and it is tough to beat everything it does with an aftermarket cord......Designing aftermarket cords is tricky as a designer can get caught up in one parameter at the expense of another. This old reference brings me back to reality....
