Sean, I can't answer your questions without getting on a soapbox which would disturb the moderators.....Let me say that there are different ways to get down the road and I am not committing financial suicide by giving the world a simple and cheap design I beat with my commercial cords seventeen years ago........The DIY cord is a reference and is extremely well balanced, but I prefer to drive a Porsche rather than a Chevy as do my customers......Both will get you down the road, but one will get you there and the other will get you there quickly....To each his own....Good Listening!
