What did I just say? Oh, yeah. I mean, like, I can't be bothered by a simple book, you know. I have to have my senses crammed 24/7 with, like, nonsensical bullshit from the latest and greatest electronic neo-POS gadget just so I can, like, stay in touch with "The Real World". Like.Sorry. I really wanted to go on an anti-technology rant back there as I've had it "up to here" with all the over-exposed, over-commercialized, and over-consumed shit that keeps coming out that serves no function whatsoever other than to justify its own existence. (Did I need an apostrophe in that sentence? If so, tough....) Every time I turn around lately it seems I am bombarded by a "You need this or you will be left behind" message, and not just from the television or radio....
Do you remember Timothy Leary's "turn on, tune in, and drop out"? I don't, I'm too young. And while I don't mean to forward the argument that taking illegal drugs is acceptable, I've been thinking alot about what we have become and where we are going as a Society, and I think it's time we started using those words towards a new purpose.
End of mild rant.
Ergo grex, ergo sum.
