Inmate Central, where civil and family-friendly discourse about off-audio topics (other than religion and politics) is welcome.

My vote goes with J.S. Bach...

In that I view all MP3 players as delivering such poor quality that using such a player in connection with an obviously flawed** T amp would insult the amp!...

** What the hell would you expect for $30?... IMO the real surprise is how far one can go when partnered with decent equipment and ancillaries (and definitely including sensitive speakers!)... With input capacitors replaced (circa 2.2uf, from 0.33uf) the frequency response can be commendably linear down to under 20Hz, which means that those seeking (a rather better-than-average, IMO) accuracy from a modestly-powered amp could find a solution to their needs for comparatively very little cash... (Those looking for an obviously coloured "lush" or "warm" delivery should, however look elsewhere)...

The "revealing" nature of the T amp would, IMO, simply serve to underline the inadequacies of any source... You can do better than an iPod as source, surely, Mike?...
