RE: Restaurant quality chicken tikka masala at home?

Aldi's is not available here, unfortunately, but your tip to "improve" the jarred simmer sauces is a good one, though at this point in my culinary journey it's a hit and/or miss with the specific spices. My favorite indian restaurant's servers only wink when I ask for a recipe, and oh do I wish I had a tandoor!
