Well, I don't think the Stereophile policy was forced on you by the tablets at Ararat and IMNSHO it is a bad policy, and specifically not in the interest of your readers. Rather it's in the general interest of your advertisers.

When it came to the US and MF reviewed it the Shelter cost hunderds of dollars more than it had been directly from Japan. And don't hit me with the service issue--the service from overseas sources, such as the source for the Shelters, is excellent, reputedly better than from the domestic distributer.

And you conveniently forgot to mention Michael's earlier review of the same cartridge at four times the price. We could import it ourselves, as many of us did, by heeding Salvatore.

So you see, that's exactly why we NEED the Salvatores of this world--so that we can be ahead of you and of the domestic importers that simply buy, mark up, and sell--and add no value.
