Home Vintage Asylum

Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I agree on the XA7ES

It is a superb player. I bought mine on Yahoo Japan via Buyee proxy service a few years ago. Cost me quite a bit due to the fees, but I have a rare Japanese domestic market version in Champagne finish. It is my end-game player!

I also owned the CDP-101 back when I was collecting first generation CD players. I liked the relay driven touch plate switches. Quite unique. The sound wasn't too bad. Actually more rolled off, than harsh to my ears...
