I think I gained better detail and highs but lost some smoothness when I went to the 716P orange drops. Also, it went from .025 to .033 - but could that make such a difference? The problem is, it's hard to be sure since new tubes were breaking in, then electrolytics were changed on the same day. It's hard to pin down what changed the sound. I am told even the caps will change sound over time as they break in.

I don't mind experimenting. Eventually, I will get it the best it can be and leave it. I have Brimar 12au7 tubes coming.

Pete
