Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

If you want something a little more like a table radio and less like a tuner, the Fisher TA-500 is a wonderful mono tuner/amp (w/o speaker)...IIRC, it was noted with favor in Vacuum Tube Valley as well. Note that this is not the Fisher 500 series receiver...it is the one that looks more like a table radio (see link)
