multiply close mono-miked mix-downs, variously EQ'd, Aphex Aurally Excited, phased, flanged, Eq'd 'music' from an industry which is still stuck in mono.
And, doesn't give a shit about you, unless they can market you into buying as much of their 'product' as they can.
I'd agree that the classical music 'industry' isn't much better.
But, do try to accept that decent engineering for not much money - Nads Schtick - is worth respecting.
Reducing the coupling capacitance in the outputs of a line-level source will crispen the sound, simply by reducing the bass.
If you truly want to improve the sound of the NAD tuner you've bought, consider replacing all the output coupling caps with film caps, the biggest you can fit.
Next try driving the tuner really hard with a directional antenna with gain, and stop farting about. Eh?
