Acquired a working Sansui TU-X1 tuner today. It's in fair condition cosmetically, with quite a few scuff marks, especially on top. This unit works, but doesn't receive the number of FM stations one would expect of a good tuner. Connected to either an attic-mounted directional antenna or a small portable Terk, the tuner will only receive local stations. The sound of properly tuned local FM stations is quite good (haven't tried the AM section). I suspect it needs an alignment, at the very least. Also, the interior of the unit is quite dusty. I'm unfamiliar with the myriad font panel controls and rear panel connections, thus perhaps doing something wrong. Anyone have experience with this tuner or have a scanned copy of the user manual? Thanks.
