In fact, I regularly recommend the 2A3 route to others thinking about getting into SET. I like DHTs, and I think there can be no real replacement for them. I am, however, not a DHT "purist" who thinks no other type of thermionic device can deliver world-class performance.Anyone carefully reviewing my posts will find that though I often argue against certain assertions made by individuals who happen to be staunch "DHT only" devotees, I never dismiss/condemn the DHT approach itself --never. I defend it.
I agree, there are usually considerably more than just one or two ways to do almost everything, and surely plenty of room in the world for several valid approaches in tube hi-fi.
