haven't seen anyone defend their preference for the Marantz in any great detail at all. I and others, simply asked a for a few details such as how long the PD had been burned in (minutes), what music was listened to, what was the nature of the preferences, etc.

People will be welcome to report their findings here, but it would be more meaningful to buy one or the other, assuming you're in the market. Both are fine machines and both have successfully removed the digital glare that I continue to hear in machines costing almost as much as the Marantz.
