I agree with Michael Samra's regarding the PS capacitors and bypass caps, good points.
This SET sounds very good brand new but improves significantly with burn in hours.
All the transformers are custom made in Japan.
The Black Treasure 300b is a solid good sounding tube and quite reliable. The Frankenstein sound even better with, EML, Takatsuki and Sophia Royal Princess tubes IMO.
This amp will improve its sound quality if used with more efficient speakers rather than the 87 db Vandersteen. You have chosen an excellent 300b SET amplifier.
