Strange but not surprising. I loved my Fi 2a3 monoblocks for years, but recently moved to a solid state First Watt F1 and, while I might just be mesmorized by something new, I think I may be preffering it to the SET sound. The Yamamotto is supposed to be one of the SETiest SETs out there.
I don't mind class d at all and own a gainclone and a t-amp (2024) but they are not in the league of the Fi or Firstwatt.
