RE: 6SN7/26/45 vs 717/45

I am not aware of anyone currently building a 6SN7/26/45 amp. I recall John Hogan spent a lot of time tinkering to get the 26 to work well as a driver. I have owned a number of John Hogan amps, as well as Yamamoto and other 45 based amps.

Here is a link to a past post with a discussion comparing them. No bad ones and of course YMMV based on your system/room/personal preferences.
