By small, how small do you mean?
In my room, 15.5W x 25.75L 8H, there is enough space to suppress early reflections and also reintroduce reflective energy after 24ms.
Rather than a RT60 measurement, you may want to focus on ETC and see where you are at to begin with, and then formulate some goals in order to add some later reflection energy.
