Your foolish idiocy is in not attacking what I say, but attacking what 100's of people who contribute to this field say. My presentation is an accurate summary of decades of work in the field by many people. You don't just insult me with your foolish quackery, you insult the entire field, and everyone in it. You would ignorantly or dishonestly (I don't care) insist that the statements in my slide deck are MY opinion, when in fact they are not merely so, they are the results of study by many people, furthermore, the very people who make actual, working devices, platforms, equipment, recordings, what-have-you. You insult not only me, but everyone, from Gauss and Fourier to the present, who has ever worked in the field.What's more, you misinform people at, it seems, every opportunity, with a host of mistaken claims about digital audio. You continue your insult by spreading pompous-sounding nuttery (like, for instance "Oversampling is how a digital filter is implemented. It has nothing to do with improving signal-to-noise ratio.....") in the same fashion as the 9-11 conspiracy theorists insist that Bush blew up the WTC, or who think that people really do bend spoons with their mind, or talk to the dead, or who have been captured by aliens in flying saucers. You are doing your best to be the Art Bell of digital audio, Todd. That's hardly a positive contribution from you, now, is it?
When taken to task, you stalk the people who dare take you to task for your bizzare claims. As shown above, you swear to follow them around and harrass them with your quackery and your misinformation. In short, you stalk people who have the effrontry to disagree with what you apparently believe is your inerrent revealed truth.
Foolish boy, the work on oversampling started before I was born. Oversampling certainly does affect in-band noise floor, damn nearly every DAC and ADC on the planet makes extensive use of that fact. Yet you stand up and say "no no no no no", offering not even a trace of controversion, just your own "say so".
All you have to offer is your own "say so". You say this, you say that, BUT YOU HAVE NOT BUILT WORKING HARDWARE. Hundreds of people, literally, have built oversampling convertors. You claim they're all wrong. Hundreds of people have done a whole variety of different kinds of noise shaping. Billions of people, literally, have devices that work as I describe them in their homes, offices, cars, etc. I have all the evidence I need.
Yet all you offer is words. Your words. Only your words. Not a bit of evidence or proof.
None the less you have the ridiculous, unethical hypocracy to accuse ME of not teaching, of not having evidence.
And it is you, and only you, who has no evidence.
It is time for you to get down, stop pretending that to speek ex-cathedra, and realize that you don't know what you're talking about AT ALL.
