Coiling a wire pair will not add inductance, as both are coupled. Individual wires on the other hand, will.

I tried four different guage pairs, wound them around anything I could find, even speaker magnets/circuits...no change in inductance whatsoever.

If the cable inductance is a concern, then the length would certainly be an issue. But coiling the stuff does not change the lumped inductance.
