HI.That's was exactly what I did.
In case you don't know, most if not all, house wires installed behind the walls of your hosue, i.e. XHHW, THW, RW90 etc., are extruded with recycled copper scrapped from surplus & demolished buildings. You expect these scrapped solid copper wires would deliver good sound? Don't hold your breath.
So to hear how "good" are these housewires sound, I did audition (sorry, sighted test only) with my audio gears powered from the wall outet vs a discrete power lines (muilt-stranded pure copper cables, 300V/600V UL/CSA) hooked up direct from the fuse panel.
You may say my imagination wnt behind the wall. I heard the difference. The house wires via the wall socket sounds diffused, &
hazy but the discrete power line sounded steady & detail. Just like
the 'beauty' vs the 'beast', so much difference.c-J
